Why are you embedding the font? Are you trying to print on another
system? If not, there's no need to embed. Some True Type fonts do go
haywire in PDFs: I just created a doc and sent it to a colleague in PDF
format, and she told me that it displayed fine, but many of the
punctuation marks disappeared from the printout. And when I went to print
it, the e letters looked like c's, besides the serifs generally being
faint. I switched fonts to Times New Roman, and everything was fine. The
original font was a Bistream (not XyW's Speedo, but one of WordPerfect's
numerous BTs), so maybe this is Adobe's way of squelching the
competition. Try another font, preferably a common one.
