Auto-expand works as well in 4.X as it did in 3.55, b efore it was removed.
I know; I almost never turn it off, and my auto-replace dictionary is massive,
since I spend my days interviewing on the phone.
Scroll speed is also significantly faster in 4.014, don't know why. On a
486/66 under OS/2, I gain no speed by switching back to 3.55, and I lose
nice features like autosave without the screen jumping up to the top.
But the speller in 4.X remains seriously flawed. Manually correcting a word often
results in the word being erased in the dialogue box. When it finds a word
duplicated, it asks if you want to delete the second occurance--but doesn't
point to where it is in the text, as 3.55 did.
I don't know how many times I've stared at teh screen, looking for that
mistakenly duplicated "the" or "a." A real pain in the tuchis.
