The possibility of running Xy in
a DOS VM
I have not, so far, found either this or Win 3.1 productive projects.
Though it seems counterintuitive, my experience is that installing
elaborate operating systems like XP or Mac Snow Leopard is much
easier than installing comparatively simple OSs. Maybe these more common
scenarios have been better debugged by the VM manufacturers?

I would never attempt to run two

matter from having them both installed into the same Win-7, with both
being available.
