unknown error message

Recently, I was given a document in Xy-3+ format, and, because of some
of the formatting (PT tables and such), it seemed to me that the
easiest path to printing it out would just be to call up Xy-3 (3.55)
and do it directly. (I have tweaked all sorts of things in Xy4, and
yet, I think there remain some real differences in the way the two
versions process, display, or print out a given document.) I had not
called up version 3 in quite some time.

Anyway, after cleaning up a few minor details, I went to do the print
job, and got an error I don't recall ever seeing before, in any
version of Xy: "Unknown Media." Can anyone clue me in as to what
that means ? I subsequently switched back to Xy-4 where I did some
further tidying up of the document, eliminating the PT tables and
trying to make it look exactly like it had in Xy-3, and printed it
from v. 4 without incident. During this whole time, the file existed
as a copy-for-editing-purposes on a RamDisk (Xy-3 had never exhibited
any problem with this before); the file was *not* RO-attribute
protected.
