Following on from my last reply, I realised that ddraw will not work
with Linux, since it is part of the DirectX graphics library for
Windows. You'll have to try one of the other options for 'output'
perhaps 'opengl' or openglnb'.

I recently downloaded and played around with the open software DOS
emulation Dosbox version 0.7 for Windows....
The initial
window size is small but this can be scaled up. I used 1024x768 which
worked fine, filling the screen horizontally, though not vertically.
Hi Paul,
I have also been playing with Xywrite 3.55 in Dosbox in Linux, and have found things to work reasonably well. I have even been able to get Xywrite to save simultaneously to both the hard drive and a compact flash card. From what I can tell in reading the Dosbox forums (http://vogons.zetafleet.com/index.php?c=7) at DosboxWiki (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=DOSBoxWiki), printing IS possible, but I have not yet had the time to install the patch and test it.
Though in Linux Dosbox gives me full screen, I have not been able to increase the size of the small
Dosbox window, as you apparently have done. How did you scale that window up? Did you change your
Windows settings (what Windows version) or did you adjust the settings in the dosbox.conf file?
Bob
