Are you using image-mode printing to print from the HP driver?
I believe the fax imaging process "shrinks" pages on an order of ten
percent. Generally speaking you'll benefit if you use a larger font
in any case -- I use 14 where I used to use 12, 12 for 10, etc.
Having said that, while I use only Xywrite to write and fax
manuscripts, at this point I write virtually all my correspondence in
Describe. The stationary manager is more than serviceable, and it
can handle any Bitstream font I feed it (at any size) in very slick
fashion. Additionally, it's quite stable -- the only shortcomings
are that a few aspects of the interface are quirky, it seems to
access video drivers in an odd fashion, and doesn't handle some DTP
functions that it probably should.
