I think that you may be misreading me. I've never deleted
the *.TMP files from within the programme, not now or in
the past, and XY4 almost never crashes for me. I can't
remember when I had a crash. And so, in the past, I've
the TMP files after exiting the programme from within DOS.
But what I noticed recently--over the past two days--and
since adding your two lined to my STARTUP.INT--these same
*.TMP that I used to have to delete manually from within DOS
are deleted automatically when I exit the programme. Now,
this is absolutely fine with me, especially given that *.TMP
files other than those of the sort ABCDEFG.TMP are not
deleted or affected by leaving the programme. That is all
I am saying. Is this owing to may addition of your two lines
to my STARTUP.INT file, I don't know. But if it is, it is
entirely ok as far as I am concerned, for it does automatically
what I've had to do manually in the past.
