Screen length--->Install Xywrite

Installation comes up regularly here. All things being equal (Installing
C:\XY4 old machine to C:\XY4 new machine) is there a better way to put XY
on a new machine than simply copying over the folder C drive to C drive?
(Not forgetting to register AutoItx on the new machine for U2.) All things
not being equal (copying from C drive to, say, D drive), is there anything
else to remember after paths and drive letters have been changed to deal
with the dissonance?
Is there are good reason to try to create from the XY 4.017 floppies a XY
installation CD (with 4.018 editor.exe substituted)? And if there is a good
reason, how would one do this?
