XY4 DOS Bugs

Peter Feldmann has read too much into the message in
which I referred to problems with Page-Line View as
"minor annoyances."
The problems I described are quirky and somewhat rare;
that's why I consider them minor. Some combination of
factors exposes a weakness in the Page-Line code, but I
have never been able to identify just what it is. I
can go for weeks without an occurance. It happens both
under DOS and in OS/2 DOS sessions, and on a variety of
hardware.
It's annoying and I sure would like to see it
fixed--but abandon 4 and revert to 3 to get away from
it? No way!
I did not, by the way, say that page and line values
are displayed incorrectly; my comments were about what
used to be called Formatted View and what is now called
Page-Line View. The display of page and line position
in the header is only one aspect of that View (and one
that works OK, so far as I am aware.) P-L View gives
you true line endings on screen, and visible page
breaks, in addition to the header data.
