As Patricia is visually handicapped, I can well imagine that her brain
has compensated by developing other neural pathways.
I've heard of people thinking and dreaming in music. Being a chess
player, I can certify that chess players (above a certain level of
skill, that is) think in very abstract patterns which I would not
describe as visualizations.

Maybe dogs think and dream smells.
