Understood, but I don't think it's a hardware issue. After all, most
"no-name" boards are anything but; they're the same components, often,
that at least Dell, Gateway, and Compaq-HP use in their own systems.
(Maybe IBM commissions/makes its own.) I get the impression that the
people who use their computers to play games (which taxes a system,
apparently, far more than any useful operation except for CAD or video
editing) get them from places like Alienware. ANd they seem to prefer AMD
CPUs. The days of hardware incompatibilities are pretty much over, unless
you insist on running Redmond's latest and buggiest excuse for an
opsys--or, of course, too old a one.
	But thanks for the lead. I was sure U2 had something, but getting into
Xy right now is difficult (have to reboot to DOS; this system is ready to
be wiped, but I'm waiting for the CD-R for the new one to arrive before
porting everything).
