I can think of two things:
1. If you're on the road and you forgot to take your flash drive or CD, you
can go to any computer (friend's, hotel's, internet cafe's) and run Xy.
2. Certain things on the web would be centrally maintained--e.g., only 2
versions of EDITOR.EXE, one for Xy3+ one for Xy4. The latest U2, with a
REGistry configured for this use.
It also could, to a teensy extent, increase world interest in XyWrite,
bringing back a few lapsed users (two among my own friends are, alas, in
this category!).
