In our last episode, Harmon Seaver described problems he's had with DOS 6.x.
I said I thought it was a great operating system, and Gates had finally got
it right, only to abandon ver 6 (when Win95 came out).
Then Harmon said
> And were you also running another OS when you installed it?
Gee, I don't think so, unless Win31 qualifies, which I wouldn't say it
does. Why would I be running another operating system? I considered dual
booting to use an old DOS version sometimes for reasons too boring to go
into, having to do with printer drivers for some programs I cling to because
they run so much faster than the newer versions with the same name but
loaded with useless features and handicapped by a GUI. I decided not to get
into that. I hate pointless complexities. (I wish Microsoft did).
Or maybe I don't understand the question.
