I have a feature request for you. It would be good if config files
supported block (multi-line) comments in addition to inline comments.
It would make it possible to do nicely formatted, explanatory config
files (e.g., config.def), even using XyWrite embedded formatting
commands if desired. The choice of symbols is up to you, of course. I
kind of like the following, which builds on the "#" inline comment
symbol:

#[ block comment ]#

There are lots of different examples here:

This would also be good for U2 users, because embedded lines of XPL
code (xy.1=, xy.2=, ...) would not have to start with a comment symbol
for each line.
