I was just about to guess, and then you confirmed (sort of), that you're running Xy
via a BATch file -- right? Loaded via AUTOEXEC, maybe? And because Ctrl-Shift-C
is undefined in your KBD file, the keystroke is bleeding through to DOS. Ctrl-C
breaks BATch files. This used to happen a lot, back in the days of
DOS.

And you hadn't SAved in an hour? Ay-ay-ay indeed.
