Dear Carl
What is the usage for LCA? I have tried LCA F:\filename where F: is
the USB drive and filename exists but it reports 'path not found'.
I will try FD, as you suggest.

Paul,
Now that we have SAA, is CAA feasible?
Actually, LCA should serve the purpose. Although it's a long-filename
command, it handles 8.3 filenames as well. And it "looks" past vDos to
the Windows drive/directory structure.
Rather than use WC to compare files, try FD (with the two files
in adjacent windows). If it simply reports "Done", the files are
identical; otherwise, it will step through the differences.
