See attachments: dict-full.jpg shows the first 95 bytes of the unadulterated dict.spl file; dict-tuncated.jpg shows the results of CA dict.spl and SA dict.tst. The first instance of 1a in the uncorrupted file appears at byte 0x54 (=84 decimal). Truncation in the SAved file occurs at byte 0x40 (=64 decimal). Remember however that nerds start counting not at one but at zero, so read 85th byte (decimal) and 65th byte (decimal) respectively.
