.. I get the following autoexpansion pattern:

btt ==> batteriefach
Btt ==> Batteriefach
BTT ==> Batteriefach

I've observed this pattern since the earliest version of Xy4. Perhaps
there's a funny interaction with one or another VA setting that
accounts for the variations among users. My personal solution is to
have two .SPL entries for any word that may require expansion into
block caps. For ease of typing, I just repeat the last letter of the
lowercase entry. E.g.:

btt batteriefach
bttt BATTERIEFACH
