I used the LQ850 with a Stylus Color 800 a few years
ago. Tweaked it a bit, but it worked nicely.
BUT if the Stylus 820 is an ESC/P Raster printer
(rather than ESP/P), as the latest models are, NO old
Epson driver will give you anything bur a bare data
dump. The formatting codes have changed and Epson isn't
telling what the new ones are. You have to print using
TYP, POSTGHST.PRN, Ghostscript, and GSView. But that
works nicely, barring the fact that Postscript doesn't
natively make superior characters smaller than the
default fact. You can fix it with a CI when you're
ready to print.
