Yes indeed, my friend! And what incentive do developers have to slim down
their software. The exe file gets bigger? No problem. The hardware guys will
just make bigger hard drives.

And have you noticed how the reviews of products seems only to compare the
latest versions of, say, 3 wordprocessing programs but don't compare the
performance of the latest version with the prior version?

Bigger, lower, faster. It's like that ghastly '58 Chevy that followed the
classic '57 models.
