Off subject - firewalls

I don't know if this is of interest to the list, but following an article in
The Guardian (London) last week I have downloaded a software firewall that
is free to non-commercial users. It will stop internet snoopers gaining
access to a standalone PC.

For the free firewall, go to the Zonelabs website at www.zonelabs.com and
get
ZoneAlarm 2.0

For those who are not sure if they need protection, try www.grc.com
This is a site that will probe your pc across the internet and see how far
it can get. Worth a try, though it may increase paranoia levels. This
site, run by someone called Steve Gibson, also has hints for tightening up
security.
