XyWin Loss of Functions

In migrating XyWrite for Windows version 4.012 from Windows 3.1
to Windows NT due to a computer upgrade at work, I have noticed
problems with spellchecking and table generation. I suspect that
this may be a result of the loss of PATH information under
Windows NT, but other factors may be involved.
The spellchecker will not work unless a directory in which the
DICT.SPL file is located is the XyWrite default directory. Does
anyone have a workaround for this?
As for tables, even in the program-file default directory, the
"create table" function will not run from menus; instead it
returns a "Cannot find item" message. I have also encountered
this same problem on my home machine after migrating from Windows
95 to Windows 98. Can anyone explain a cause for this failure,
or a solution?
