Dear Carl
Further to my email below, I have just been experimenting with the
SAVETO formats in the help file. I put semi-colon in front all the
existing registry entries and copied in the example for saving to A:,
changing A to F which is my USB drive. When I try and run SAVETO,
nothing happened. I tried running 'exist f:\*.*' and received the
response True (file) which I take to mean that the drive is visible; but
apparently cannot be saved to.
Following that I restored the settings you suggested to me but changed
F: to C:. Worked perfectly, saving the current directory and to C:\.
I'm not sure where to go from here.
Paul
Dear Carl
Oh! I was not expecting to find code in the registry file, so this is
something I have learned today.
I have now installed the routine into the registry having deleted
everything that was under SAVETO previously. However when I command
SAVETO helpkey it saves only to the current directory, not to my USB
drive (The status line message is "SAved"). The drive is there and is
recognised by my file manager so I am not sure what I have done wrong.
Best wishes
Paul

Paul,
I assume you mean XYWWWEB.U2 ... or do you?
No, XYWWWEB.REG, the U2 REGistry file. If you already have SaveTo
settings there, you'll have to replace or add to them, otherwise just
CoPy the material into REG.
