I was not referring to resetting counters. I was referring to placing
them.
If MS Word can allow the user to place a counter at any arbitrary
point in the text with a single keystroke, I have not seen it.
Certainly it is possible to place counters in MS Word, but so far as I
know it is ridiculously cumbersome to use, and there is some
algorithm running which automatically places other counters at
'similar' places (e.g., at every paragraph) as soon as I place one
counter somewhere (e.g., at a paragraph). This is exactly what I do
not want.
