In response to queries about searching the XyWrite Mailing List
archives, here is some basic information:
1) All archive operations are done by sending a one-line message (no
subject, no signature) to the List Processor at:
Note that this address is different from the one used to post
messages to the list.
2) The body of the message should be a single line comprising one of
the following commands:
index xywrite
search xywrite [search term(s)]
get xywrite [filename]
The INDEX command provides (by return E-mail) a list of all files in
the archive. The SEARCH command is a powerful tool: it returns a
list, sorted by filename, of every occurrence of the search terms;
search-term usage follows the rules of Unix regular expressions.
Use the GET command to retrieve a file from the archives. The
requested file will be E-mailed to you.
