I have Acrobat Pro 7.0.5 too, for what its worth. I did the initial PDF with
it, then started optimizing, down from an initial size of 1.6 Mb to current
470Kb. It has just the fonts that it needs, in just the embedded proportions
that it needs, to work. Moreover, there are very few, if any, errors in the
text; the one Harry caught was something that I had fixed once already, but
then I reverted to an earlier version, etc etc -- there were about five such
instances in the text, and they are presently fine. Yes, there are some
omissions in the tables, but they are not particularly important; I'd need to
sit down with NBWin for a long time to fill every hole.

More important than adding bells and whistles to the PDF is sitting down and
grappling with the meat of XPL. Nobody needs to communicate with anybody to do
that. Please don't comment to me about the text; I'm simply passing it on.

I'm travelling and will be mostly out of touch for about two weeks.
