My Norwegian ex-Xywriter friend called my attention to a web site which
seems to offer the ability to run both XP and Vista in separate partitions
*simultaneously* and do "live clones" (on the fly?) of either, I think
using Norton Ghost.
It's a little over my head, does anyone here think this is a good thing?
Here's the main part of its description:
HyperOs is a must for any serious Windows 2K or XP or Vista user because
you can ?
1. Add Vista to an XP machine as a separate system and swap between
them with a double click and clone/backup/restore/delete whole systems like
files
2. Add XP to a Vista machine as a separate system and swap between them
with a double click and clone/backup/restore/delete whole systems like files
3. Clone multiple XP systems or multiple Vista systems or both from
just one system.
4. Solve every software problem with OneClick (swap to the next system)
5. Give the Internet its own Windows System (fight the war only in this
system)
6. Give everyone in the Family PC his or her own system.
7. Give your big application(s) their very own Windows system (best
performance and stability for your big apps, such as graphics, music or games)
8. Create a sacrificial Windows system for testing out new software
9. Create a secure mission critical Business Windows system (ring fence
it, then install all new drivers and applications in a second Windows system).
10. Create a parallel backup system or systems of your most important
Windows systems just in case.
11. Back up or restore any system locally or to a network location in
seconds with a drag and drop, or a double click.
