Myron - For small amounts of text, run Xy in a window (or press Alt+Enter to put it in a window). If the window doesn't already have a toolbar, click on the upper left-hand end of the title bar and click on 'toolbar' in the pull-down menu. When you want to put something on the clipboard, click on the dotted outline. This will let you highlight Xy text with the mouse. When you have what you want, press Enter (press Esc if you change your mind). The text is now on the clipboard. You can even highlight text in the command line! Problem with this technique is that you can't highlight beyond a screenful. For large amounts, it's easier to just export the text to WordPad and take care of the clipboard from there; I've written a pgm that does that, and it's attached. It assumes you've got filters for ASCII. It will save a whole file or anything highlighted in the usual Xy manner. Tim Baehr tbaehr@xxxxxxxx
