Only for the record, the root directory of a Virtual PC 6 installation has

DOS 08-21-99 5:04p
COMMAND COM 52,965 04-30-98 1:00p
AUTOEXEC BAT 229 10-21-01 3:27p
CONFIG SYS 139 03-31-00 11:15a
DOS itself (here PC DOS 2000, the directory DOS above ) has fully 105
files, mostly dated April 1998.
Yes, but Lisa doesn't have a DOS directory. Just command.com and the 2
hidden files (and I wonder how she knows they're there without
chkdsk?). Anyway, my old DOS 6.22 boot floppy that I turned up has
these files on it:
ATTRIB EXE 11208 5-31-1994 6:22am
CHKDSK EXE 12241 5-31-1994 6:22am
COMMAND COM 54645 5-31-1994 6:22am
DIRLIST TXT 6437 11-24-1999 10:53am
DOSKEY COM 5861 5-31-1994 6:22am
EDIT COM 413 9-30-1993 6:20am
EDIT HLP 17898 9-30-1993 6:20am
EMM386 EXE 120926 5-31-1994 6:22am
FC EXE 18650 5-31-1994 6:22am
FDISK EXE 29336 5-31-1994 6:22am
FORMAT COM 22974 5-31-1994 6:22am
HIMEM SYS 29136 9-30-1993 6:20am
MEM EXE 32502 5-31-1994 6:22am
MSCDEX EXE 25361 9-30-1993 6:20am
MSD EXE 165864 5-31-1994 6:22am
QBASIC HLP 130881 9-30-1993 6:20am
QBASIC EXE 194309 9-30-1993 6:20am
SYS COM 9432 5-31-1994 6:22am
XCOPY EXE 16930 5-31-1994 6:22am
That's what I considered necessary just to to boot. The whole megillah
is a lot bigger. (Granted, I see Qbasic on there, and one wouldn't
need that nowadays; but maybe the lack of mscdex.exe is what's
preventing her from seeing the CD?)
