I tried out a few versions of GHOST over the years,
but claim no proficiency with it. I'm sure this is a
YMMV thing, but for the situations in which I tried to
use it, I too often wound up wasting a lot of time
that ended up with some very obscure error message.

At the point where they introduced the ability to boot
with access to external USB storage, this gave them a
brief advantage over the competition.

Drive Image was quite effective for me for a number of
years, but successive MS changes to the NTFS spec
ruined this for me, and I discovered that the images I
needed most could no longer be restored.

So I gave up on them and moved on to other tools.
