Not a bad decision. I think the III & IIIP were the last of their models about
which you could say that -- plenty of metal parts, you can feel it in the weight
-- although the full-sized 4 series still had a really solid build quality and
they were definitely workhorses. After that, it's mostly downhill, with lots of
lightweight, flimsy plastic and models not built for the long haul.
And I'm still not convinced anyone is likely to need better than 600 d.p.i. for
plain text documents.
