Sorry to waste anyone's time, but I feel obliged to comment on one point in
a message meant for me which went to the entire list on 16-8-99:
> I am emailing you WordInfo's forums, newsgroups, etc. page since I must
> assume that you are somehow Web-disabled ... Thanks in advance for
> your future courtesy in turning for Word advice to Word specialists
> instead of an audience made captive by a shared interest in an app
> distinctly unrelated to Word.
No, I'm not "Web-disabled", but I suppose I am at least Web-handicapped: by
a low income, a 486 65mHz chip, a 14.4K modem, and a telephone system that
charges me by the minute for time spent on line.
Yes, it was presumptuous of me to ask this group for help. What I find
striking is how quickly (and efficaciously) the help was supplied by my
"captive" audience.
I'm only sorry that my correspondent, who e-mailed the WordInfo info to my
personal address, didn't also use that address for the rebuke.
Cheers to all
