Golly gee. You're right about WYSIWYG. I so rarely toggle into WZ
view; never even occurred to me to try. But you're also right about
the default screen font: the Ascii 13 does indeed have two flags.
No doubt about it. In my screen-font editor, Ascii 13 and 14 in the
IBM standard font look like this (view in a monospaced font):
1 ................ 1 ................
2 ................ 2 ................
3 ....ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 3
..ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ
4 ....ÛÛÛÛ....ÛÛÛÛ 4
..ÛÛÛÛ......ÛÛÛÛ
5 ....ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 5
..ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ
6 ....ÛÛÛÛ........ 6
..ÛÛÛÛ......ÛÛÛÛ
7 ....ÛÛÛÛ........ 7
..ÛÛÛÛ......ÛÛÛÛ
8 ....ÛÛÛÛ........ 8
..ÛÛÛÛ......ÛÛÛÛ
9 ....ÛÛÛÛ........ 9
..ÛÛÛÛ......ÛÛÛÛ
10 ..ÛÛÛÛÛÛ........ 10
..ÛÛÛÛ....ÛÛÛÛÛÛ
11 ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ........ 11
ÛÛÛÛÛÛ....ÛÛÛÛÛÛ
12 ÛÛÛÛÛÛ.......... 12
ÛÛÛÛÛÛ....ÛÛÛÛ..
13 ................ 13 ÛÛÛÛ............
14 ................ 14 ................
15 ................ 15 ................
16 ................ 16 ................
I guess the author of that font didn't know his quavers. However...
enough of this. This discussion belongs not here but in
alt.fonts.screen_fonts.musical_subset.Ascii_13_and_14_compared.chara
cter_based_vs_graphical_view, as I'm surprised we haven't already
been reminded. Do I need to do your work for you, Annie? ;-)
