Jon, I am sure that with some good advice from knowledgeable friends and patience you can make VCLIP work. I would just like remind that there is an easier way. Working on the same file using two editors in tandem provides you with the advantages of both. XyWrite gives you the familiar keyboard and programming, EditPad (Pro or Lite) gives you clipboard support and 64-bit power for handling very large files and an expanded mode with colors (Pro only). You can configure EditPad to automatically load any changes saved in XyWrite (Preferences, Open files, Automatically reload the active file if it was modified on disk). In Xy, you need a refresh command (AB CA sequence). An alternative way would be to use NirCmd clipboard facilities (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html) and a dedicated clipboard window in Xy hardcoded to read the clipboard output file saved to disk. These method are very basic, simpler to set up, and provide a robust solution.
