Less cumbersome, at least for the initial survey of what remains on the disk:

 TYPE FILENAME |MORE

Good idea about Autosave! That might be turned on by factory default. Let's
see: wouldn't that probably autosave in the directory of EDITOR.EXE? Or in
the .\DOCS subdirectory? Don't know (I always turn Autosave off)... but if so,
the backup would be on her hard disk.
