You cannot use the Xy4 install disk on a Win 9X and above system. What
you must do is burn a CD and copy your current setup onto it. Then, you
can move it from computer to computer as you migrate along.

This reminds me: I've got the 4.17 floppies and would like to simply
get the files onto a CD: fresh files, as Myron calls them just in
case. I tried to "install" to a temp directory on a W98 machine and
couldn't get it to work (did not try same on XP). And searching the
archives I must have missed the posts on this; I remember such a
discussion. A gentle reminder or pointer to the posts would be
appreciated.
