I've been using System Commander to mediate my multi-boot setup for years, with
very good results. My concern for the future is that when I finally get around to
installing ECS (after some long planned hardware upgrades), SC may no longer be
compatible. This has to do with some key info stored in the master boot record or
partition boot record space -- either by SC or ECS or both -- which may get
overwritten. I've been bugging the SC developers to answer this question Yea or
Nay, but so far there has been no word.

On the other hand, I'm told the native OS/2 Boot Manager utility, which used to be
very minimal, has been upgraded. It won't be an elegant solution like SC, but can
suffice. Those who are not OS/2 users should have no concern with this issue . .
.. although I have heard that Win-2000 and later have a propensity for seeking out
the boot loader of other OSes and killing them, unless one takes counter-measures.
