I had a similar experience when i tried to get the dosbox working.
I didn't spend a lot of time on it as i already had VPC working.
(Still do!)
You may want to check out iEmulator. (I was going to but they told me
that, for their initial version as least, my Powerbook Pismo wouldn't
have enough horsepower.
I haven't done much with that either as VPC has still been working
for me!
