parellel ports

Dear Fellow Xywriters
 
First, is there a better term than fellow Xywriters 
to refer to us.
My children call me a Ludite..  With 
regard to conversion devices for USB
to parellel, my 
sad experience is that they are slow as all get out 
and it is
much better to use a parellel port card or 
buy a pc that has a port on the
mother board.  I have 
both on my pcs and found that they are about the same 
in speed of output..
