I recall that there was a several-month gap between the IBM debacle and TTG's
buying Xyquest. During that time, Xy4 was actively worked on. Without TTG,
Xy4DOS and XyWin would probably not have seen the light of day. But the staff
that did most of the design, coding, and menus work was a bunch of former
Xyquestrians, many of us working for love of the product and loyalty to Dave
and each other. No idea what TTG is like now, but there was a real family
feel then.

Some of the early work on Smartwords was done back then, after Ken came on
the scene. So Smartwords has perhaps been a longer time coming than some of
us realize!
