Candor in software marketing is a rare and prized commodity. My thanks.
(I've just posted polite mail on Quarterdeck's website about version 3 of
their CleanSweep, which seems to be no more than CleanSweep version 2--good
software, in my opinion--plus an entirely unnecessary and mildly confusing
facelift and a few new irritations. I posted it in public as my e-mail
bounced back with a note saying that they don't condescend to answer e-mail.)

Longer footnotes are more troublesome, but with two or three footnotes of
one or two lines each, things go astray. By contrast, Xy 3 is flawless, as
long as you don't try to combine footnotes with clever-clever but
incompatible formatting by way of ≪NB≫ and ≪BB≫.

It's not terribly cheering, but it's moderately spirited and helpful.
Thank you for taking the trouble to post it.
It's a major contrast to your website. (I probably shouldn't be telling
you how to do your job, but I'll risk it. . . .) The word that springs to
mind when I see the website is "moribund". Bye bye PC Write, bye bye
DeScribe . . . XyWrite does look as if it's next on the list. Could you
not spend a couple of hours on the website, to give the impression that
XyWrite is alive and kicking?
But maybe you've already done this!
