If you mean va/nv FC, then the prompt line is correct. What you get is the
"value" of Flush Center, which in your case is set to Flush Left. That is,
you are testing what alignment Xy will use by default. So va/nv FC, va/nv
FL, and va/nv FR will all return FL on the prompt line. This is not a
glitch. It is the accurate answer to your query.

If you want to set your default alignment to FC, use d FL=FC on the command
line. This will be in effect with all documents you open or create until you
quit Xy. To se the alignment just for the current doc, just enter FC on the
command line.
