Using flash drives or camera cards (often at the paper) can cause that. If
the other PC isn't on when the flash medium is inserted, the flash one can
usurp the mapped drive's letter. Try giving the mapped drives letter names
late in the alphabet (e.g., x, y, z).
I already do that. It isn't a case of usurpation. Not a big problem, just
an annoyance.
