Well, as long as we're recommending OT software, my view is, why
go fishing? Use an SQL database.
Last time I looked (and I admit that was a while ago). SQL was
just what its name means: a QUERY language. I need something that
will let me create data-input screens (and ones with double, and
triple, and quadruple tests to limit the input operator's ability
to type anything without checking half a dozen places to make
sure it's not already in there). As Robert well knows, user error
is the chief cause of computer foul-ups. And nowhere is that more
true than in database. Ideally, no one would ever be able to type
ANYTHING; everything would be copied from lookup tables.
Unfortunately, that's not feasible.
