Edit
Don't delete anything in
the edit window but insert (maybe after the "c:\windows\system;") your path for
XyWrite. Or you could do it at the end, but XyWrite tends to prefer it
earlier on (if you primarily use XyWrite then the system looks through the other
path locations until if finds what it needs; however, on a fast system this
should not matter much). Remember that each of the foldernames must be
separated by a semicolon without spaces. When finished click on "OK" until
the System panel closes.

environment. I went to autoexec.nt which I understood was for the purpose
of creating the dos environment. created a path as I understood how to do
it in dos and nothing happened. After more reading I went to control
panel/system/advanced/environmental variables highlighted path when the edit box
appeared saw "% surrounding system root% and realized I was seeing terms that
had no meaning for me. would appreciate a reference to where I can get
more information on creating and editing a path for xp.
thanks
