I thought it was the opposite. Shift-Del cuts the selected block to
the clipboard, Del just deletes it.
It depends on whether you are using Shift-Del on a block of text, or on a
file or folder in Windows Explorer. When in Explorer, it deletes without
using the Recycled Bin. Typical Windows inconsistency. Actually, I didn't
know that it did a "cut" to the clipboard in text, so thanks for the info.
