Re various NW settings in XPL pgms, per Robert's post:
Oh, I didn't get the principle. You weren't *testing* to determine the df
NW, you were writing NW-independent code, to make it more general.
I see. I suppose that's better than storing VA$NW, re-setting it to what
you want, then restoring it, because if the program crashes, it could leave
the user's Xy in a state he doesn't want and/or know about.
The principle is, try not to disturb any existing window numbers. NBWin
throws
this into a cocked hat, introducing something completely
inexplicable: dynamic
window numbering.
Gag!
Luckily, you can override it using a new NB VARiable WN
Thanks, that's crucial for me to know, if I can ever get NBWin properly
installed (it's something wrong with the Install-Shield installer).
