Neither can I. The first thing I'd do -- in line with Robert's
suggestion -- is disable Tame, restart Xy, and see if the problem
with Log/Resume persists. If it does, then, obviously, it's not
Tame that's causing the problem.
Log/Resume still doesn't work.
If you load U2, you might also try SAVESESS, our (command-driven)
answer to Log/Resume. If SAVESESS works but Log/Resume doesn't, it
would be very odd indeed,
Well, then it _is_ very odd, because SAVESESS works fine. Haven't tried it
with TAME yet
because, at bottom, they do the same
thing. That would suggest a corruption of the MeNU+DiaLoG file
system, rather than anything to do with Tame.
How do I check for such corruption? As far as I know, the menus/dialogues
have never been altered from default. Xy4.dlg is dated 2/15/95 and .hlp is
dated 4/20/93. Somewhere I have backups I could compare against.
Do other menu-driven
functions work under Tame, or are they broken too?
Apparently they do work OK. The problem is with Log/Restore, and perhaps
TAME was incidental to all of that?
Two other questions: now that I am using ethernet or USB instead of
parallel for printing, I seem to crash Xy4 every now and then when trying
to print under XP. Is there something different I should be doing?
And does anyone know how to make task switching faster in XP? It's almost
instantaneous in NT 2000, but seems to take forever in XP.
