Bill,
Interesting page, thanks. I'll look into the browser options and
SP5.
I found out that Dropbox v2.10.29 is the latest version that will
work with W2K. I've installed it, assigned the Dropbox folder to
drive X: and that solved my functionality problems -- DIR, EXIST,
everything.
I'm registered in the VBox forums, so when I have a chance, I'll ask
about the DIR problem. I don't know much about networking, but it's
perplexing, because all of the file-related commands in Xy4 and
later versions of Xy3 have always been able to handle UNC
sharenames, e.g., CA \\THATLAN\D\FRAUD\Insider.txt. But neither
drive letters nor \\vboxsrv sharenames work in VBox, so clearly
there's something special about these shares. If we knew what that
is, we might be able either to solve the problem or know for sure
that it's insoluble.
