This is very interesting. I had assumed the number was related to the
cycles per second, and if so, larger would be higher. But after
experimenting by repeatedly resetting eb= and typing gibberish, I see
what you mean. 300 is noticeably higher in pitch than 3000. The
differences among 3000, 4000, and 5000 would require perfect pitch
(which I don't have) to really distinguish. And my original 65,000 and
something was evidently too LOW, not too high, to hear as more than
the faint "tink."
